Swanfield On Tour Launch Party

Swanfield on Tour launches this Thursday 12 July at 2 Hoxton Street. Set up by Cecilia Hammarborg, Katherine Pont and Lily Vanilli, Swanfield on Tour was originally hosted every Sunday on Swanfield Street as a pop-up boutique with live events.
For their latest pop-up shop on Hoxton Street, the Swans have invited Serafina Steer, Oh Ruin and Conny Prantera to provide the entertainment and art for the venue plus the lovely Lily Vanilli will be providing cakes on the night too. Collections shown at the boutique include our friend Megan's eyewear line Zanzan and others like Jenny Jenny, Nicola De Main and French & English Confectioners. Champagne starts flowing from 6pm till dark!

Vivienne Westwood MAN Store Opens

Vivienne Westwood’s first ever MAN store is now open! Focusing entirely on male shoppers, MAN showcases the ever-expanding world of Vivienne Westwood with a store which measures at a generous 1,300 sq.ft. Inspiration for the space is taken from the original MAN floor located on the lower ground of the 44 conduit street flagship. The result is an amalgamation of industrialist and earthy elements seen in the nickel-plated rails and cabinets, ’shuttered’ concrete, textured stone, rusted steel and wide oak boards as flooring.
For the MAN logo, Vivienne Westwood found a muse in the iconic monument Stonehenge, using Welsh blue pennant stone for the fireplace surround which creates a monumental focal point within the space. Of course, it can only be expected that the store has a twist; in MAN shoppers will find a glass covered ‘crypt’, previously an underground vault. this barrel-shaped chamber has been transformed into a unique display space within the floor. The MAN store stays true to the well-loved Vivienne Westwood aesthetic while integrating a sense of ease and luxury into the mix. Location: 18 conduit street [mayfair].

Michel Tscherevkoff

Like most other women we have a thing for shoes. We also have a thing for flowers, and bags, so the combination of all three in Michel Tscherevkoff's beautiful new collection Shoe Fleur is particularly sweet on our sartorially-focused taste buds.

<
Unfortunately, NY based French photographer Tscherevkoff's collection is only a virtual one, it'll be a long time till you can stomp the streets with petalled feet! Still, have a look at the fantasy shoes and bags here and partake in some imaginary window shopping.

Chanel Pops-up in St Tropez

Chanel is opening a pop-up store! Open till October 3, the store will be situated in an 18th century mansion in the mega glam St Tropez. Shoppers will be able to check out pieces from Chanel's A/W 2010 collection, which includes an array of shoes, handbags and ready-to-wear accessories and the watch collection. The store is 120 sqm and set in a garden that splays out from the mansion...sounds to me like the perfect place to spend your hours looking at the luxury brands' newest goods.

Casely-Hayford x A Darker Shade of Black
Casely-Hayford's A/W 2010 collection: A Darker Shade of Black is the perfect blend of fine craftmanship, masculinity and youth. Drawing inspiration from afro punk and military uniforms, the collection wears a touch of rebellion which creeps in through leather pieces, effortless layering and surprising silhouettes.
The focus of Casely-Hayford's collection may be on shades of black but with their signature timeless style and devil-may-care attitude there is nothing dull about it.

Curiouser + Curiouser
Our friend Alice Waese has just launched her debut art and fashion collection 'Curiouser + Curiouser'. Fascinated with the materials of things, Alice has created a beautiful collection of silver jewelry, fiber scarves, leather bags and whimsical art works on paper all of which reflect her natural curiousity in form, shape and texture. If the 'Diamond Bag' and 'Walnut' necklace are anything to go by, Alice's collection is going to be a surefire hit when it goes on sale in Autumn.
Until you can get your mitts on her pieces why not check out her site which has just gone live: http://www.curiouserandcuriouser.ca/index.html
