hi luca,

the mail server was overloaded with some malicious spam/mail bombing on friday/saturday, so it should be cleared by now. if you're using protein mail through your mail client [outlook/entorague] as opposed to the webmail system, then i recommend you change your outgoing server to that of your local provider i.e. smtp.ntlworld.com, smtp.bt.com, etc.

Do you think the emails I sent during friday/saturday will be delivered now?
I just tried to send an email to my yahoo account but I havent received it yet, maybe there is a delay with the system or the problem might still be there. I am using the webmail system...

hi,sending of protein mail is still not happening for me... everything i send is delayed by between a few hours and a few days, and more than one has been bounced back with this error message (IPs and email addresses changed):

Any idea what's going on? I would just not send through my proteinos account, but i use if for several mailinglists to which i have to post from a registered address.

hi tim, there still seem to be some on-going send mail problems with the protein mail server, so i would recommend you use your protein mail account through outlook/entourage and change your smtp/outgoing server settings to the that of your local isp.

error. i've never seen that before. checked the server and should now be fixed.

Not sure if you got my other message - Protein Webmail seems to not be receiving messages for about 10 days now. Is there a fix to this?

you should have got a mail with the details of the migration to the new system phil. let me know if you didn't.

ok, protein mail now switched over to its new home on google, just in time for them to launch the themes feature for us. very considerate. please post any issues here and we will do our best to fix them.

if you are on a PC and want to upload your old protein pop mail to the new google accout you can use this app:

also, if you want to read your protein mail on your iphone or any other mail programme, make sure you switch on the IMAP in the setting and then follow these instructions:

you need to switch the pop/imap on it on the "settings" page.

unfortunately not phil. sorry about that. we did give everyone 6 months to move everything across which we thought would be long enough. i hope it wasn't anything too important.
