Grooverider in Dubai
So in case you hadn't heard Grooverider is in a spot of bother with the authorities in Dubai. Silly eejit travelled there with not only weed (maybe not much but they have super zero tolerance for drugs) but PORN!!.
Firstly, dude, don't you have the internet? Thats what its for. Why do you need to take Porn DVDs on a work trip??? And as for travelling with drugs - are you high? oh actually maybe.
Secondly why isn't any of this reported on the BBC news site - I've searched and searched but can't find anything? Surely they can't ignore the story especially seeing as he's employed by them???
Thirdly - ouch! the Dubai promoter is suing the management for loss of earnings - I think it was a 7K capacity show and everyone paid £25 - ouch.
Big Tune - Burial, Archangel
Burial is / has been one of the most talked about artists of recent years - his new album is ok - in my opinion its all a bit too 'Future Sounds Of London' but that said 'Archangel' is a fucking tuuuune and one of the best of the year.
Boy 8 Bit is a new signing to Mad Decent and he's got a crazy synth / breakbeat / electro thing going on. Check out hype machine for some of his other stuff.

Discovering your city 2.0
Found this great site the other day - its all about discovering the city that you live in and sharing those hidden gems (where to drink late in soho - good cheap vietnamese etc).
Its a pretty simple but effective use of 2.0 but speaking to the guy that set it up they're goiung to be adding a bunch more functionality and most importantly they're super into throwing parties for people that use the site - Will and I went to one the other day and it was pretty awesome

Radiohead vs EMI
So the past few weeks have been all about Radiohead - whether its their its their decision to go it alone and leave EMI behind or EMI's one-two punch back at them with the awesomely desireable but maybe not so useful back catalogue to be released on USB drives - Radiohead are everywhere and the label is pissed (except for XL that is).
